Scammers create these sites to deceive you into entering your credit card information for purchases or account logins. To safeguard yourself, always ensure that the website address starts with “https://” and look for a padlock icon in the address bar, which indicates a secure connection. Stick to reputable websites when shopping online, and avoid entering your credit card details on unfamiliar or suspicious sites.
