William Henderson

Chief Investment Officer

William Henderson is the Chief Investment Officer at Valley National Financial Advisors. He joined the VNFA team with more than 30 years of experience, including 26 years at BlackRock.

Bill leads the firm’s Investment Department, chairs the internal Investment Committee, and directs all investment research efforts. In this role, he provides investment analysis and assists VNFA’s advisory teams with portfolio strategy and asset allocation direction.

He frequently meets representatives from global asset managers to discuss their views about the economy and financial markets. He also lends his own current market observations in VNFA’s The Weekly Commentary. “My passion in the investment world is superior portfolio management,” he says.“I strive to connect with clients without using complex theorems or jargon, while achieving performance results with given risk parameters.”

In his time outside of work, Bill is a dedicated volunteer for several philanthropic organizations. He has mentored military veterans with American Corporate Partners (ACP) and is a long-time board member and volunteer for The Boys Scouts of America.
